One Sentence – Gives A Key to Embracing God’s Word

Gain Perspective in One Sentence

I want to give you a word of exhortation…

Actually… It is a sentence.

If you will grasp this simple little sentence in your spirit and soul, heart and mind, then it will cause doubts, fears, questioning, and double mindedness to disappear from your life.

It will bring about faith, and empowerment when you realize its truth.

It is a power-packed short sentence found within Proverbs 30:5

Ready for it?

Here it is:

EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE.

That means Every Word of God is true, flawless, not corrupt, trustworthy, without error, sure, tested and tried, not an opinion that can be changed. Simply PURE!

So, when you open your Bible up, and it declares, “Thus saith the Lord” or it gives you a command, or a proverb, a teaching, or a historical account…whatever is written upon the pages of what is The Word of God… know that it is NOT OPINION!

If it calls something evil, it IS evil.

If it says something is good, it IS good.

If it tells you a promise, that promise is sure.

If it says something is a fruit, it is a fruit.

If God gives us a command, it is to be obeyed.

If the Word says the wicked will be punished, they will be.

If it says, Jesus came to save sinners, He did.

If it says, Christ is coming soon, He is!

Are you getting an idea of what I am saying?

Every Word of God is Pure.

It is from the highest authority.

It can be trusted.

It is truth and not opinion.

It does, however, remove the opinions of man from our considerations. And it does “simplify our lives” and how we live.

Let me elaborate on this with an example:

The Word of God tells us in Genesis 1: 27 that “male and female created He them” referring to His creation of mankind. If we realize Every Word of God is Pure, then we can, ourselves, dismiss all “transgender opinions” around us, for these are in direct conflict with the purity of the Word of God in this matter. We don’t worry about what pronoun to use. Someone is either he (male) or she (female) in God’s eyes, and so shall they be in ours.

If believers entertain opinions outside of the pure Word of God, and try to please society and others, then we will begin to have “mixture” and “confusion” and “double mindedness” …making life “very complicated”!

Knowing Isaiah 45:9-12 gives further insight into how God sees the way transgenders quarrel with the way He has made them. If he made them a female, they are a female. If he made them a male, they are a male.

“Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What has thou brought forth? Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. I have made the earth, and create man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”

The more knowledge of God’s pure word, the more clarity that is ours on so many things.

Now, staying with our topic and its example: Many have bought Satan’s lie that we, as believers, are unloving to not accept transgenders. This lie can be dispelled from knowing I John 5:2, which says:

“By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep his commandments.”

Love for others, according to the Word of God, is that we love God and keep His commandments. This is how we “know” that we do love others! We realize true love toward others doesn’t compromise with Satan’s pressure upon our own souls.

Love will take a stand, and stay “in the light” so others, in the darkness, can see it and not be lost forever, but come toward “the light” and “be found” in God and Christ, as we have been.

If we all compromise, then all will become darkness. Then, No one can be led by our example and come to God’s Truth.

The most loving thing we can do is stand upon God’s pure word! Knowing it IS pure!

I encourage you…pick any topic…and the purity of God’s Word can give you clarity!

Strength comes to believers when we “know” God’s Ways and His Heart.

Seek to know God’s Word on all modern topics.

Things that bring you confusion now can come into “purity of thought” as you realize Every Word of God is Pure.

It need not be “questioned” or “doubted”,

for God himself beareth witness to his word, saying:

EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE.

It says “EVERY”!

Not some of God’s word is true, and some is not.

If He said it, it is so. That’s it.

There is no “mixture” in God’s Word. It is Pure.

Say it over and over today: “Every Word of God is Pure” …until you “receive it” and you “believe it”!

Then, you can weigh all the opinions of man and this world against it.

You will become strong, instead of being tossed to and fro!

James 1:8 tells us, “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways!”

What a miserable state of being! If you’re there, you know it!

The reason some believers are feeling “unstable” in “all” their ways, is because they haven’t quite grasped the authority and the pureness of God’s Word. They are like the wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed… tossed by the world’s opinions, pressures, lies, and agendas!

That short sentence can impact your future greatly. Heed what is being spoken by Him and shared by me.

It is interesting and insightful to notice the second half of the verse that our simple sentence came from:

Proverbs 30:5 concludes by saying…

“He (God) is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.”

This means we who put our trust in Him… realizing Every Word of God is Pure and thereby aligning ourselves with His Word in all manner of our living… will be protected, as with a shield, by God, from the onslaughts of the Enemy.

In short, God will protect you as you embrace His Word.

Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.”

I’m letting the Spirit of God take me off on a side note now…or maybe it was His destination all along with this scripture… to ask:

Aren’t you tired of being between two opinions?

Either because of ignorance or from the pressure of the World’s messages bombarding you?

Elijah had to confront the people (See I Kings 18:21) by saying: “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: But if Baal, then follow him.”If

Friends, opinions of men are volatile! They take you on a roller coaster ride! You can’t “fit in” or take both sides, God’s and Baal’s (representative of the god of this world).

Pick a Side.

I assure you, the best side, although maybe not the easiest one, is God’s side! Why? Because His Word lets us know that He wins out in the end over all the wicked and evil of this world…and over His and our enemy, Satan!

I’m sure you want to be on the winning side, right? …the side that receives victories and rewards in this life, and in the life to come?!

Recognize God’s authority over you and his creation, as The Creator, and recognize that Every Word of God is pure.

God and His Word are “constants” in a world wherein every opinion, thought, invention, convention, etc. is ever-changing! Changing so fast it puts us all in a tailspin! We are given peace and security just in our knowing that He is not changing, nor His Word! We can count on what He says! We can count on his principles! His promises! His warnings! What the Word says the future holds!

II Peter 2:2-3 is a good passage to hang onto:

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

Notice it mentions more than once in the above verse, that it is through the Knowledge of our God, and Jesus our Lord! And where do we obtain that knowledge? From every word of God that is Pure! Amen!!

Let what He has placed in His word, and tells you personally by His Spirit, NOW make you strong so you can stand in your faith until the war between good and evil is over, and we are forever with God and Christ.

I want to close this chapter by sharing a song I wrote with the Holy Spirit’s inspiration called “My Words”. Take a listen by going to this link, and marvel at the wisdom of God:

My Words – Elizabeth Ann Smith – Receive From Me

If you haven’t the time to listen to the song right now, or have no sound, I still want you to have the lyrics to this song, for the song is a lesson in itself:

Lyrics

I have asked you to give
In order that I may bless you
I have challenged you to pray
So I can respond and help you
I have asked you to sing and rejoice
So anxiety can be released from you
I have asked you to be humble
To protect you from your “self”

My words
They are LIFE to you
My words
They are HEALTH to you
My words
Give you PROTECTION from the wiles of the enemy
My words GUARD you from folly
My words GUIDE you away from danger
My words produce holiness
And purity

I have asked you to forgive
So you, too, can receive forgiveness
I have asked you to not love the world
For it will cause entanglements
I have asked you to love your spouse
So that intimacy can always be yours
I have asked you to train your children
So they will honor you

My words
They are LIFE to you
My words
They are HEALTH to you
My words
Give you PROTECTION from the wiles of the enemy
My words GUARD you from folly
My words GUIDE you away from danger
My words produce holiness
And purity
