Nothing provides greater peace and safety than to abide in the Lord’s Salvation. The Salvation that is ours is not just a saving from death and hell, but a saving from sin and Satan’s strategies upon our lives… this very day… if we have taken refuge in Christ. If we become HIS.
Think about it:
If I am Christ’s, then I am no longer my own.
I belong TO Him.
I live FOR Him.
I am a BONDSLAVE.
I will live a radical lifestyle of obedience to His will and ways. He leads and directs me into the future’s plans.
A bondslave (bondservant) does not have money or time of his own; therefore, I cannot spend what has been entrusted to me, and belongs to Him, for it is NOT MINE! I am a MANAGER of my MASTER’S resources: time, talent, energy, decisions, job, ministry, body, etc. This is what it means to EMBRACE THE CROSS. Those who are truly bondslaves are the ones who will receive HIS mark, so we need not worry about taking THE mark.
I am NOT FORCED to be a bondservant. A bondservant is one who is able to go free, but loves his master so much that he chooses to serve his master the rest of his life. A female bondservant is referred to as a Handmaiden, and likewise, she chooses to serve her master out of her own free will.
Note, there can be no obedience from the heart unless there is the freedom to disobey. We are free to go on living FOR OURSELVES, but it is the ultimate folly. We must know the Lord as OUR SOURCE and keep our trust in Him.
Jesus said words to the effect: “If you seek to save your life you will lose it, but if you will lose your life FOR MY SAKE, you will find it.” (Matthew 16:25)

The KEY to SURVIVAL in these END TIMES is to BE A BONDSLAVE.
Every MASTER is OBLIGATED to provide for his slaves, and we have the most dependable MASTER of all! He will take care of his own!
We care for our jobs/ministries because they have been entrusted to us, and this is our worship. If our positions here are taken from us, we are still seated with Him, and we will worship Him in whatever He calls us to next. We are His Slaves, and we must be content with whatever job He gives us.
We are entering a time when the LORDSHIP of JESUS must be more than a doctrine; it must be a profound and continuing reality in our lives. When Christ IS MY LIFE, my TRUST, and the TRUE DESIRE of my heart, He can trust me with the earthly possessions and positions that I am called to rule over.
We will fail as his bondslaves. Repentance is then called for. Repentance is to realize we have missed a turn and started down the wrong road. It will never be the right road. The only way is to go back to where “we missed it”, the turn. (TURN AROUND and YOU’LL BE FACING GOD; keep going and your back will be to God!) True Repentance is evidence of the true faith that compels Christ to respond. He will always respond to a broken and contrite heart, which is what brings you to repentance.
Hear this verse: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise”. Psalm 51:17
Psalm 34:18 says “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.”
A broken and contrite heart signifies genuine humility, repentance, and surrender to God. God values this humble inner disposition, promising He won’t reject you, but will draw near to you and forgive, working things out for you.
God is in the business of undoing our mistakes, and erasing our sins, and making something whole from brokenness. Remember this.
We do our part, and you can be sure he will do His Part! He wants us back listening, being productive, accomplishing His Will, influencing others, etc. And being faithful in his purpose and plan for our lives. He will put the pieces back together! Guaranteed!
Repentance + Obedience = FREEDOM. That’s the equation to live by. The Holy Spirit is given to help us to obey the simple and clear instructions of scripture for managing what God entrusts to us. You and I have A HELPER! If you fail, repent…turn TOWARD GOD; He is already turned toward you. In love, He will continue to help you desire obedience, until you are stronger and stronger in Him. Soon any sin will be broken off your life, if you follow this pattern…this equation.
Remember, as a bondslave, do not run from Him, but to Him.
You are choosing to be a SLAVE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS rather than a SLAVE TO SIN… and VICTORY will occur as the SUM of YOUR DAILY CHOICES toward Christ brings about release from any bondages in your life. Your slavery to Him is not a bondage but a freedom! So, let that truth break through the lies of the enemy!
Romans 6:16-18 says:
Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
LOVINGLY SUBMIT and You’ll be LOVINGLY RESTORED!

My prayer is that we all will begin to think of what a privilege it is to have a Lord, someone to serve out of love, someone who has set you free from real bondage (the kind sin brings), and someone who will in turn take great care of his own.
In fact, this is His promise from II Peter 1:3 in the Amplified Bible:
“For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”
Conclusion: You won’t miss out on a thing humbling yourself before God and serving Him.
